What the hell is this connection? I thought it was a 5 pin xlr but I got an adapter and it doesn't fit. How easy would it be to replace the end with a different type eg jack

It's a DIN plug. What's on the other end of the cable? Ive seen the connection used for:
IBM keyboards (pre PS/2)
Apple //c serial ports
AV out for the Sega Genesis, TG16, NeoGeo, Commodore 64, Atari 8bit computers

It is new senheiser headphone connected for 1700$ headphones that absolutely suck
Yeah, looks like an old AT keyboard plug for your 486 computer.
To hook up to the Bridgeport mill at work, I used a USB adapter to a PS2 adapter to the AT keyboard plug. I think somewhere in the jumble of cables I've got the parts to hook up to the serial mouse port but it's been a while since we had to trouble shoot that machine... I think it went to the warehouse after the die crib took over the maintenance shop.
It could be a MIDI cable. Is it the same connection on both ends of the cable?
>people don't know what a DIN plug is anymore
Makes me feel quite old
