Why Apple? You had by far the best case in the industry. Why the fuck! Honestly /g/ show me a more aesthetically pleasing case of any size.
>>58490167
>best case
Wrongo Friendo.
>>58490167
Real answer.
When you dont have to make a product that's easy to open by the consumer, you can save a lot of money on not having serviceable parts, thinner everything, less screws, faster assembly, and shorter life.
Its all profit.
>>58490184
That looks fucking horrible, takes so much space for slightly faster computing power.
>>58490221
That's the price you pay for complete customization, and upgradability.

/thread
It's just a better business decision to make products that can't be fixed or upgraded.
the worst part about that model is that, like the new Macbook Pro, it has less performance than the one it replaced. Anyone who buys Apple these days is off their rockers.
>>58490220
They are also alienating a part of their loyal consumer. People have already duplicated the MP case, this one looks like a fucking gay sextoy....
>>58490221
>slightly faster computing power
heh
>>58490221
>slightly faster computing power

wahh im scared of voiding my warranty and apple care plan!! upgrade it anyway loser

im high and i wield it to shank shadow people with and scare off big ones
>>58490167
You've never had to maintain one of those all aluminum landmines. The model they dropped the optical drive was horrible. The case didn't leave room to move the components into Preston, let alone tools and fingers. They shunned any standard coloring of ports for easy identification, and there is no way to secure the power cord

there, I just went cheap cases and went up the price points till I found one with a clean non gamer aesthetic.
There are better cases in both aesthetic and performance, but personal opinion will come into play there more.
>>58492381
>clean non gamer aesthetic.
>case has a window
Try again
>>58490184
that's not a Node 202
because of the OS
I just got it and I gotta say, I like the os alot and using unix has never been easier with the OS
I just want it to be upgradable and customizable like windows so I can play sum gamez like overwatch and shit
the dilemma is real man
>>58491579
Hey, Emile.
:^)
>>58492554
I'd be pretty interested in seeing how much one could fit inside that thing.
Hopefully they don't discontinue the Mac Mini because i don't like the glossy iMac display and the Mac Pro is to expensive for what i need it for.
>>58490167
I want Apple to revert the sodomy they did with the 2014 version, but I fear that they're going to pull a MacBook Pro Touch Bar on us and solder NAND on it even though there's literally no reason to just to wave everyone the middle finger.
The HDD isn't soldered though. And you can fit two in there.
Soldering the ram is a shit move however, especially as the lowest-end model doesn't have 8 gigs.
>>58494840
They don't right now, but after the 2016 MacBook Pro, you can sure bet your ass they will when they update it next. Why? Fuck you, that's why.
>>58494790
still using my 2012 version. it has a higher bench mark then the 2014 version.
why apple, why?
>>58491579
>Joconda
Bet she's black as fuck and has her hair did...
>>58492479
windows don't make it gamer, they are almost completely unavoidable anymore
remember the iMac G3, far cleaner then that thing ever was, and more classy to boot.
you want no window that looks better than that, you are looking in the price range of several hundred dollars with worse airflow most likely.
>>58490184
I have this case, it is designed for optimal air cooling. Trying to make a water cooling setup with it is just inefficient.
>>58490167
>Honestly /g/ show me a more aesthetically pleasing case of any size.
there's tons at fanlesstech
blog goes on for pages and pages and pages

and in the end of the day, if you're not a fucking poorfag, get the max configuration at the start anyways, never upgraded any of my Macs, always got the best straight away, even a 2012 i7 with 16GB RAM is still usable.
>>58495137
You and me together anon, 2012 can get taken from my cold, dead hands.

How many cocks can you service per day? Do you like the cut or uncut?
