Will running 4k ever be worth it for someone who uses a computer for non productivity tasks? The resolution seems to be far too small for even a 30 inch screen to get the proper benefit out of.

I'm running at 3440x1440. Hardly jealous of an inferior ratio, but one day 4k will exist and I'm starting to wonder if increasing resolution really matters at this point.
It's worth it for scaling to get closer to smartphone crisp fonts on a desktop display.
