Should I sell my macbook and buy an x1 carbon gen 4 instead?

What year is Gen 4 from? What macbook do you have?

If you like your MacBook and OSX, no.
If you want something that isn't a MacBook, maybe.
The 2017 X1 Carbon is much more up to date, with more battery life QHD and Type C thunderbolt.

Skylake X1 carbon is still a really solid machine if you can get a good deal on one, it just isn't as up to date.

The neckbeard part of the thinkpad community will tell you that anything using lenovo designs is not a real thinkpad so you won't fit in that well. X1 is a damn fine looking laptop though.

I just got a x1 yoga and I love it. It's a really nice machine and I'm happy with the touch features as well. I've got a i7 and it's more than enough computer for me. Quite happy with the computer.
