I want to get some formal education with computers. Whats better, getting a bacholors in computer engineering or amassing industry certificates from places like comptia and cisco. Or both?? Anyone with industry knowledge out there???

If you want a formal education, then go to school. If you just want to pad your resume and get a job working for some batshit tech company then go ahead and pick up the certifications... but also consider going to school.
