I use it because I dislike Windows in general, kinda went downhill after XP onward.
All Linux distros are free too, which is pretty good when I don't have to spend money on a software license.

I started doing DIY shit with Linux. I.e. arch based Kodi media box. Experimental servers, raspberry pi retro gaming, etc., Etc.

I was pretty shit at it, but I just sort of stuck with Linux. I have one of my PC's running Windows but overall I just got used to Linux.
