Is this true?
Mail accounts really expire?
I have a ton of old accounts and they are still alive and well

>there's still people paying for iMAP services
Why are these companies still active?
>>58453581
The fuck does "inactivity" mean? Not logging in and getting any mails?
>mfw spam keeps accounts from being deleted

> Mail accounts really expire?
Inactivity does that.

Some companies (I can vouch for GMX) advertise IMAP as paid only but it works just as well with free accounts.

no, just not logging in for x amount of months
I just loged in some 2007 gmail and its still here
???

I wonder they are unable to gewt mails till you log in again or something
Never had any forgotten mail closed down and i left a lot of them untouched for years

That's specifically why I picked Tutanota.

Yes. Not just mail accounts, but most other accounts where someone provides a service for you.
The stated expiry/inactivity period is worst case, though. Not all providers delete your account right away.
