>For Windows 10 Home and Pro editions, gone is the "enhanced" setting level, leaving users to select from the "basic" or "full" telemetry plans.

>"Full", on the other hand, sends over the "basic" level of slurping plus the old "enhanced" level and then even more information about your system. The "enhanced" level includes records of events generated by the operating system, bundled applications and devices, and some crash dumps.

>This "full" mode will also give Microsoft your "inking and typing data." Engineers, with permission from Microsoft’s privacy governance team, can obtain users' documents that trigger crashes in applications, so they can work out what's going wrong, from people's machines running in "full" mode. The techies can also run diagnostic tools remotely on the computers, again with permission from their overseers.

Even Microsoft now openly admits it looks through your files on your PC.

why would we defend this?

We don't have use windows.

These fags use Windows in every country.

I'll only believe the anti-Win10 propaganda once I see some actual decrypted screenshots or whatever being sent, all I've seen so far is people trying to say "wow spooky encrypted data! Win10 is sending webcam photos and everything you type with this!", and a bunch of obviously fake webms trying to turn people against it.

Where's the code that's actually doing all these "bad things"? If theres a botnet running you should be able to point to the piece of code responsible, otherwise you obviously haven't done your research. Why would I listen to someone who hasn't even tried to look into it properly?
>>
>>58450218
>If theres a botnet running you should be able to point to the piece of code responsible
No you don't fag. Closed source means that you can only see the result.
>>
>>58450236
I wasn't talking source code idiot, never heard of reverse engineering? This is the level of /g/ posters these days I suppose.

>never heard of reverse engineering?
If you think someone who knows RE will do it for free than you must be terminally retarded. They are too busy making real cash.
>>
>>58450136
>noscript is foolproof
The first step is not to go looking for trouble.

>>58450218
I wouldn't put it past sending screenshots on developers editions and Full setting, but people have actually tested the telemetry on different settings and the Basic level doesn't randomly send off data packets large enough to be screenshots. It is fairly consistent in how often it sends data and the average packet size is about 1kB.
If you actually have an application crash then it will send more data, but otherwise it's nothing.
>>
>>58450255
Actually a lot of RE folk are willing to work for free if they think they'll find something big, see: NSAKEY, Sony XCP, the people who reversed the Xbox...

The fact nobodies tried looking beyond a wireshark capture tells us a lot. But I actually wouldn't be surprised if people did looked further but we just didn't hear anything, because there was nothing to find.
>>
>>58450263
>It is fairly consistent in how often it sends data and the average packet size is about 1kB.
>MS wouldn't lie about the package sizes sent in their own fucking system.
>>
>>58450278
>The fact nobodies tried looking beyond a wireshark capture tells us a lot.
It tells us that everyone who knows want Windows to develop their shitty system because it's easier to hack than Linux and Mac.
>>
>>58450218
Why would it need to send anything to M$ and why would you think it's fine to send arbitrary unknown data to third parties without your approval?
>>
>>58450218

LiveTile updates are one thing which Win10 does a lot, which is likely what's in the cap in the OP, you can use something like Fiddler to decrypt the traffic for those but obviously OP didn't do that because it doesn't help his case

>>58450300
4chans privacy policy is pretty bad too, but that doesn't scare you away from /g/ does it?
Same with me on Win10, text is a lot different to action, and again nobodies shown any proof Win10 is actually doing anything bad yet, all I've seen so far is some awful scare tactics

>>58450311
I don't know where you get that idea friend, did you mean to reply to the person who thinks "no source code = we can't see anything"?

>checking for the botnet on an Insider build, which are known to submit more data than usual
Not sure if it counts but the RSA_Decryptor.exe being 700+KB is pretty sus too, but obviously the 2 PNG files are stuffed inside and the exe just writes them out

That everything?

Eh pretty much, I didn't think of the UDP and insider stuff, so a gold star for you!

Anyway guys pls don't make obviously fake stuff like this, it just makes Win10 skeptics even harder to believe, hopefully that webm was just made as a joke but I wouldn't be surprised if some squatting Russian thought he could actually trick people with it.

that microsoft, in a deliberate attempt to stalk its users, takes billions of screenshots, analyzed by humans afterwards, rather than analyzing raw data with statistic algorithms ?
