I thought about it, but I don't think LED strips are going to look that good. I have some under the desk, which looks nice because it's hidden, but if I have to run wires and have them right above and in front of me it will probably look terrible and annoy me. I think I still have an old roll somewhere, so I might just check how it looks later.

And yeah, it's a Vita. Bought it like 6 months ago, and it's easily my favorite console out of all of the current gen stuff, which I own everything but the Xbone. Playing stuff in bed is really comfy and there are lots of weeb shit with cute girls too. Dragon Quest Builders was easily one of my favorite games from last year, and playing it on the go or in bed was even better. The PS4 is pretty great too, I've been playing the new Miku game non-stop this week, and Bloodborne is one of my favorite games of all time.

I played Bloodborne with my friend who is obsessed with Dark Souls and what a beautiful and inspired game. I play From Software games mostly for the art direction and music. For sure will pick that up too. And I was thinking of getting that miku game to, I used to play the fuck out of DDR and still do. Love rhythm games.

What games do you suggest for the PS4? Right now I know I'm getting resident evil 7, odins sphere, Bloodborne, miku, dead or ailve xtreme 3 (don't laugh I want fat anime ass), and Gravity Rush 1. I'm hyped as fuck for building a new collection, I haven't since xbox360.

That's a really good list. Odin Sphere is really fun and looks amazing, Project Diva Future Tone has an insane amount of songs and is hard as fuck, so don't bother with PD X or whatever, and Gravity Rush is pretty much the only PS4 game I bothered to get Platinum. As for other games, if you're into racing, Driveclub is one of the best looking driving games I've ever played, it's pretty fun to play once in a while, and I love the photo mode. Infamous Second Son is a pretty fun but kinda short game, The Last of Us and the remastered Uncharted games are great if you haven't played them yet, and Ratched & Clank is another really good remake.

There are lots of good stuff coming in the next few months too, with Gravity Rush 2 next week, Yakuza 0 on the other one and then Nioh and Horizon next month.

I do like driving games, but more of the arcade type. I play initial d 3 and 4 and ridge racer type 4 a lot. I still play them, they just feel like games you can spend years getting better at. I was gonna get to those to, never played uncharted or last of us. Honestly right now I feel like console gaming is a million times better compared to PC. PC feels pretty stagnant.

Definitely. I barely play anything different on PC nowadays. It's basically a few of multiplats over the year and Dota 2 or other random F2P/MMO/MOBA shit, while on Vita and PS4 I'm always getting new stuff I can't find on PC. The only surprising games PC had last year were XCOM 2 and Civ VI, but they were just sequels, so nothing new.

Driveclub is a bit arcade-y, but it still has some more realistic elements thrown in. For me it's basically just a game to chill. I like to race alone on rainy weather and take some pictures afterwards, and it's pretty relaxing. Drifting is fun too. If you've never played TLOU or Uncharted, definitely get the remasters, the first one specially. I find Uncharted a bit boring personally, but the story and characters are still fun, and the remaster is well done, but TLOU is a similar gameplay concept that is much better executed.

Oh, and if you're into it, Destiny is kinda fun too. Playing alone is a bit boring, but the gunplay feels nice, even though it's a FPS on a controller.

The only negatives are the burn-in on high contrast parts of the screen and it's kinda thick for todays standards.

The burn-in isn't permanent though. I only notice it when grey windows or whatever are on the screen, you notice like a 15% transparent line here and there from the browsers/whatever.

i ditched my first choice of uni after a year, so ive done nearly 4 years at this point

That's the point of the coaster. I have two of the particle boards stacked on one another, and they seem to be working fine. Some day I'll probably get some custom cut laminated board to replace these. As it is I was able to stand in the middle of them when I put it together. without much flex.

The 681 are fine. Build quality on both is decent though I found I had to replace the pads with velour ones and the headrest was a little uncomfortable.

The right ear in my 668b's stopped functioning after about 5 months of heavy use. Turns out some of them were wired badly. Wasn't hard to fix but I still sent them back and got myself a set of M50x

Headphones? Sure. Not headsets though. I hate clip-on mics, so I'd have to pay $30-50 extra for a BoomPro or a ModMic. I was really really close to getting a 80 ohm DT 770 with a ModMic last Black Friday, but in the end decided against it, because I have no issues at all with the Cloud. Maybe when it dies I'll get a new one, but it is over 2 years old, still pretty comfy, sounds good enough for me and wasn't too expensive. Well, 2 years of daily constant use and my Cloud is still holding up perfectly, so that doesn't seem like a bad purchase. Also, as you said, better audio is subjective, and I never really cared or actually noticed that much difference in audio quality anyway. I also don't see why I would need a "really good" mic, which just sounds silly and expensive when I just use it to talk with friends and play games, which I'd assume is probably what you do too. I wouldn't get the pair you mentioned either because of their open nature.

Well, yeah, that's basically the point I was trying to make. Sure you can get better headphones for the price, I don't disagree with that, but you'd may be stuck with more inconvenient setups, like lapel mics, multiple wires or whatever, which I personally really hate. I rather get a simple easy package with both that "just work" than dealing with multiple stuff. I'm surely going to look into something higher end when I get something new, but for now I still think they're a good cheap option for headsets. I don't get why people shit on the xclouds though. I've used them and in terms of gaming headsets they don't sacrifice on too much to get a decent product.

As for the keyboard, I like it a lot. Some people like topre, some people don't, but I feel like the main benefit of this keyboard is that it is light, portable, and I love the layout. People say that the HHKB is expensive, but really, if you look at it, the closest you can get is a cherry MX clear 60% board, and to achieve less noise on bottoming out like the HHKB, you will need O-rings. What I am saying is that a 60% MX clear board with O-rings and high quality PBT keycaps is going to run you around ¥20,000 anyways, so it is really not that insane.

Hmm, in more western countries it's much less expensive to go with the mechanical + o-rings count.
Last I checked that keyboard is about $240 on amazon.

Whereas My keyboard including the caps and o-rings, both of which are high quality costs around half that. Though admittedly to get a keyboard like with with clears it's likely you'd have to buy and install the switches yourself which would drive the cost up about another $40 or so.

I'm not so fond of topre but I've not tried anything high quality so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. I would love to be able to use one of those though.

It's rated for 4000 lbs over 4 shelves, so yes, definitely. The individual shelves are very strong, but they do kind of sag. Just like I did, use the crossbars for one of the levels elsewhere and doublestack the desk surface--no more sagging. You will have little bits sticking up at the 4 corners, though, unless you want to keep shelf space above your head and build it tall still.
