Hardware random number generators
Never seen /g/ talk about them but do you guys use any?
Reccomendate any specific models?
Have a preference for specific generation methods?

Game science or bust
Dice towers are clearly the best rolling method

I usually throw my twenty-sided hardware random number generator on a flat surface and allow it to land on one of the twenty sides, leaving nineteen sides visible. Then, when it's in a state of rest, i proceed to read the digit(s) on the uppermost side, the one that's parallel to the side on the contact surface, so i can say that i successfully generated a number.

if you want an actual random number, use one tied to radioactive decay

I was bored once and built one myself
it worked somewhat but you can argue that it was actually not random
I amplified the thermal noise of a resistor and then put it into an ADC
very simple and you can easily make a USB dongle out of it
never bothered though because I got so much shit for it

You could take a high resolution photo and run it through a secure hash function.

I did something similar with a pic.
>sample radio static with 12 bit adc at 150 samples per seconds
>save only lsb of each sample
>once 1024 bits are sampled, input to sha256
I am too stupid to understand the science behind random numbers, but this method seems to pass some simple statistical tests.
>>58443625
This is one of the best ideas i've seen yet.
>>58443748
This is a good method. People have done this.

Where can I buy one?

im going to beam all 1's at you and bias your shit.
