Could it? Sure. But its most probably not the issue.

Your OC is obviously not stable. If it's not overheating, up your voltage, run prime95 and/or 3DMark stress tests until you stop getting crashes.

Probably your OC, set it back to stock and see how it is.

Though I will give OP the benefit of the doubt here. I had similar issues and I thought it was my OC. Eventually turns out it was a faulty motherboard. Replaced it, put my OC back where it was, and everything has been perfect since. So it could be the motherboard, but that would be the last thing to try.
