>new facebook secondary trash account
>one person i used to know shows up in the suggested friends section
How the fuck does it even happen, I'm pretty sure there should be no link between the two
>>
>>58437116
Useragent fingerprinting + cookies
>>
>>58437116
cookies and shit
>>
Why the fuck are people still surprised by this shit?

Thats what you get for using that piece of shit OP. Enjoy your status as a product.
>>
I thought facebook didn't allow people to have multiple accounts and required you to use your real, full name.
>>
>>58437216
Fake name, no informations, no posts, etc.
It's not like they ask for your ID (unless under specific circumstances)
>>
>>58437116
Does friend suggestion work with IP tracking?
Lets say I have another profile and I check someones profile from different device and account on the same network.
Will my primary account appear in their suggestion?
>>
they look through your contact book on your mobile if you have ever once signed into the account through your mobile, by having an account you allow them to do this
>>

>>
>uses botnet
>complains that it does botnet things
>>
>>58437424
Not if you don't use their app I guess
>>
>They trust me, dumb fucks
>>
I finally gave up on Facebook when it started suggesting people from my fucking snapchat. That I had never looked up or talked to outside of snapchat. Botnets abusing shit they know from their own site is expected. Botnets connecting to other Botnets is too spooky.
>>
Facebook always suggests me completely unknown people
>>
>>58437424
>>58437580
Never link your other shit or phone to FB.
>>
>>58437116
Your friend connected a service to facebook which knows your e-mail
>>
>>58437541
they will still scan your contact book on your mobile even if you sign on a browser on your phone, if they detect any numbers where people have linked them to the accout they will start to show as suggested friends
>>
>>58437116
ip
location
google
>>
>>58437116
Facebook has its plugins all over the internet. They know which websites you visit and that builds your fingerprint. Unless you block that plugin and don't come in contact with facebook, you will get tracked that way.
>>
>>58437594
Mostly the same for me except for people I am fairly certain might have looked me up.
>>

I have a real facebook with my real email, and a fake instagram with my real email

Instagram suggests me my high school friends "based on likes" even though my instagram account is used exclusively for porn sluts.

tl;dr
don't believe Facebook's lies

EVERY SINGLE TIME
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>
>>58438537

I just tell people I do not and will not use Facebook. They are generally willing to collaborate over email.
>>
>>58437116
I do the same shit, trash account, and I use Live USB so no risk of cookies and browser fingerprint.

I still see people suggested I should know, I think they go by location as well.

I have yet to figure out how google knows exactly where you are by IP, you tried this shit yet? Go on google maps and ask it to "find you" it will locate your exact location.

Some people say it knows by your wifi name, which is bullshit, I have not seen a logical answer to this yet.
>>
>>58439394
>your wifi name
No, not the name, the MAC address.
>>
>>58439559
Do you have source to that anon?
>>
>>58438537
>not countering this by telling them to use email, and while they argue, you invite them to a mailing list.
>>
>>58439582
It's OLD news. I'm not gonna do your homework for you. You're a brainlet if you can imagine just how easy it is to geolocate routers and wifi access point, especially considering all the wireless devices in use, and when cross-referenced with GPS coords.
>>
>>58439613
Not old news to me its been a mistery, I have yet to see anyone mention MAC address until you brought it up. That would imply that users who have no wireless routers would not be able to be located and new equiptment just set up would also not be located in its proper place, unless google has cars running the roads 24/7 and cover rural areas in a day or less

>Brand new hotspot installed at local restaurant
>Using laptop to find location
>Google maps gets exact location right
>>
>>58439668
I think NON-wireless isn't as easy to locate, but it's still not impossible.
Locating a WiFi access point is trivial when google has access to the list of access points that your device has connected to (or has even merely seen).
>>
>>58437971
is that even possible lol
>>
>>58439757
So you're sugesting that the mere fact two or three smartphones have "seen" that access point, that google puts it on its list of APs and where they were seen? Reasonable assumption, creepy one, and definitely possible. But to what end? Simple location? That would mean that google has a wardriving fetish, imagine getting a hold of that map.
>>
>>58439770
yeah its possible, you have to assume the computer to be a public terminal, don't save personal info where the OS has 24/7 access to it. And stop using Windows
>>
>>58439862
>wardriving
That helps but I don't think it's necessary. Consider that MACs are (supposed to be) globally unique, and access points rarely move. When a random person drives by your house and their phone detects your router, it's pretty much game over. Probably all it takes is any basic app running on their phone to correlate the MAC and GPS.
>>
>>58437124
first post best post
OP, educate yourself
>>
>>58439862
It's been awhile since I've looked but there used to be maps of wifi access points, such as this site:

>putting your real name on the internet

LOL

You are just asking for the following:
>having every fast food place within 20 miles deliver stuff to your house on the same night, every night until the fast food places ban your address, say goodbye to being able to get food delivered to your house ever again
>having letters sent to your work accusing you of X, no smoke without fire, right? say goodbye to your job
>having letters sent to your friends and family accusing you of X, say goodbye to your relationships and peaceful family life
>having SWAT turn up at your house because someone accused you of threatening people with an illegal firearm, in some places (america) you can possibly say goodbye to your life
>having loans taken out using your name and address, say hello to debt and court
>having someone use your name and address to make racist comments on social media, in some countries (britain) you can be arrested

this shit is so fucking easy to do, its scary, i could browse youtube, look for the first idiot kid who put his real name on his account, and fucking ruin his life if i wanted to

the above examples only scratch the surface of the possible ways you can fuck with someone, not that i would personally do any of these things, of course
>>
>>58438537
You can use messenger.com without an account now

Just do that with a locked down browser if that's too botnetty for you

If I use my completely empty Facebook account with all the permissions and entirely fake details, created via throwaway e-mail, to stalk some fine ass hoes in an incognito session with tracking protection enabled, will "my" account start to show up in their suggested people you may know feed?

>make Facebook under fake name, using trash email, to test a web application for a friend; never do anything else with it, no phone linkage
>Facebook still emails me asking if I know a guy I used to talk with in highschool, who I never had any contact with since highschool, and was before I even owned a phone
>>
Someone needs to do a whole bunch of testing on this for science.

I know if you "stalk" someone's account they'll forever be in your "people you might know" (and possibly vice versa, knowing how FB likes to throw you under the bus)

There's the address book thing if you gave it permissions (why?)

Then yeah, things like tracking cookies seem a likely culprit. The logic will be "well you share this person's browser, so you probably share the rest of their life"

Also, 6 degrees of separation (you're only 6 levels of "friend of friend of friend" away from anyone else in the world). If you added anyone even remotely connected to people you know on your main account - maybe in the same area and with a similar interest - then that separation narrows significantly. In fact not even adding someone, you probably just have to 'like' a post that connects you in some way. Facebook and Google are pretty much God, they know everything.
