Besides even as Amerifat, once it passes a certain point, AMD becomes more expensive with every month and given that both FX8350 and i5 are poorfag CPUs, it's likely that they will be used for a while.

Ausfag here with an fx 8320 running at 4.4GHz, I use my desktop every few nights to load up some games with my mates, otherwise I use my phone/laptop for everything else. If you don't use your pc 24/7 it won't matter.

The i3 is a newer platform. Even if you get a $45 h110 motherboard,you could upgrade to a used i7 7700 in 3-4 years. If you're the type to buy an entirely new system every time you upgrade, then the FX 6300 and i3 6100 are of comparable value.
