Does anyone here have any knowledge of project management tools for organising server installations? i've been put in the position for managing these installs but the company im with doesn't offer any project management tools. help a brother out.

isn't Zabbix a network monitor? i'm looking to have something to record the progress of projects which involves server builds, network installations and software migrations.

Puppet, chef, maybe octopus? Write shell scripts and conf files and deploy with those. You can use PowerShell DSCs if working in Windows or have the open source PowerShell on your *nix boxes
