There used to be some videos about some spic who real-time interpolated weeb videos.

Ones were the Asuka battle with the Mass Produced Evas or the Episode 3 Ryukko vs Satsuki fight.
But all of them are gone, which is quite a shame because they were in a pretty fucking good quality and both were of my favorite scenes

This is just annoying. It's not made to be watched like this and the "amazingness" of it is all in your head because you watch anime too much. It's like you faggots need some sort of novelty not to be bored of anime so you overplay the benefits of this gimmick.

I can assure you anyone outside of the anime fandom will just shrug, conclude that "it's kinda cool I guess", but really just wonder what the big deal is.

Why is this done exactly? I've always wonder why anime seems to breed the weirdest video habits as I work in the TV industry so doing things like converting a 25fps source to 60fps is insane to me. Is anime done in weird framerates that evens out when you go to 60fps? I read the comments of the video in OP and it seems they just put the video through Final Cut Pro and upped the resolution and insertion junk frames.

I know I'm on an anime/weeb fansite to begin with but the stuff they do with video never makes any sense to me. Like the obsessions with Hi10, x265 and bizzare audio formats in releases are the same thing. It's all creating "higher quality" out of sources that simply don't have it to begin with.
