All my informations are so highly valuable that I keep them all unencrypted in mostly plaintext in documents folder and I never bothered to even backup them.
I am still waiting for any event which will teach ne how bad is living on edge. So far I haven't lost a thing and I am not aware of any abuse of my files.
So far i am living by the
>nothing to hide, nothing to fear
even when I know it is broken argument. But I keep my knowledge about various encryptions updated so I am ready to install gentoo the moment the terrorists win.

I don't have any personal, banking etc info on my normal computer. Do that shit on a cheap, old computer filled with anti-malware and anti-spyware shit.
I use sticky notes, nobody else uses my computer.

there's temporary text files for just reminders and general everyday todo lists, and then there's encrypted containers of the important stuff
I hesitated to fully encrypt the drive because what would be the point when encrypted containers exist and are much more portable
I use keeplog and lifeograph.
Lifeograph has encryption.
A GPG encrypted ODS file in ~/Documents/Personal. Full disk encryption is enabled as well.
