How come it's always thinkpads that get recommended?
Why does no one being up the Elitebooks or latitudes?

Elitebook 2560p is only 12.5" and socketed so you can upgrade to a quad core cheap. Imagine a cheap quad core 12.5 inch mobile workstation .

ThinkPad hardware usually has better Linux support.

Equivalent Elitebooks and Latitudes/Precisions are excellent choices. I got my father a Precision and slapped Linux on it for him. Worked like a charm except the wifi drivers had to be installed manually.
