Hehehe. Those are cooling pads for your face to cool you down. A bit like if you put ice on your face but without the wetness.

ok?
>>58391940
What are they called and how do they work?
>>58391940
Does it also soak the toxins out of your shit os?
>>58392369
they have menthol in them which makes you feel cold
i.e. it doesn't work, it just makes you think it's working while not doing anything
it's actually not okay, if someone had a legit high fever and tried to use this to treat it they could die or something
>>58392609
It's for preventing heatstroke, not for medicinal use.

This was posted by a Japanese YouTuber named Hajime on his Twitter.

For whatever reason, he uses this over his PC he also has. I would also. Final Cut Pro is godly for simpleton video editing.

It's funny because it looks like a trashcan, but that shape should be really good for airflow, does it really have heating problems?
>>58393565
They don't work for preventing heat stroke tho
>>58393682
According to him, yes. He's implying it's hot to the touch.
>>58393764
Well I didn't need them when I was over there, because it was middle of winter. Is it just snake oil?
>>58392609
The phase transition from liquid water to gas surely extracts some heat from the case. It works but not much though .
Found a related tweet from him

"My work PC has caught a cold, and has a high fever!"
>41c is "hot"
>>58391940
That thing is called Koolfever. It is sold in many pharmacies here.

They actually recommend putting it in the fridge for enhanced effects. Not kidding.
>>58392369
I guess they have some liquid that evaporates at a low temperature (like alcohol) when a liquid evaporates it cools down due to the phase change. It is what cools down your refridgerator.
>>58392609
Menthol WOULD work in actually lowering the temperature. Methol have a lower evaporation temperature than water.
>if someone had a legit high fever and tried to use this to treat it they could die or something
if it's menthol then they would get colder skin at least.

Ammonium nitrate and water
It's called a fucking cold pack do you ever leave your house?
There's a calcium-based version that you can't make meth out of that's more popular

So they don't have a headphone jack?
