I have that model of the laptop with a 960m and i5 6300hq. Literally zero problems with the laptop itself, only thing that sucks is the plastic build quality.

I have another pavilion laptop that I bought in 2011 that still works fine. Don't believe the Internet OP, Pavilion is not exactly high quality but since HP sells so many laptops, there are more reports of broken ones, and all of them go online to complain (a loud minority).
