So what's known to be "confirmed" botnet specifically?
I know many /g/ users will just say anything and everything is a botnet, but I was curious to see some sort of comprehensive list of sites/programs where it is public knowledge, either because of lack of shame or juicy leaks, that they collected and store and/or sell your personal data, including search terms and browsing habits.
To start, I know that Google absolutely does this along with Facebook for advertising purposes. What else is there? And how does PRISM fit into the mix?

Do you have a source on that? Was this from some sort of leaks or does Gates just not care anymore?

I heard something about a leak revealing Yahoo emails were compromised... but what exactly did it mean? That Yahoo could read the contents of your emails? Can't every email company do this? Which ones can't?
Is there any way to watch Youtube videos without getting botnet'd? I always watch in private browsing, but does that mean anything?

I don't want to have to download a video to my computer just to watch it. And even then, won't YT have the info that I downloaded whatever video?

You have to download a video to your computer to watch it, you dumb fucking retard.
