I use my 13 inch 1080p laptop at no scaling just fine from a normal use distance. That's 26inch at 4k and close enough to the more sensible size that is 24.

1080p at 13" works fine anon.
When I got this laptop I thought I'd need display scaling but its perfectly fine.
Right now the screen is an arms length away from me and I can read everything with no issue.
