Depends what you're doing and how much you really care about privacy.

I'm not a criminal and don't conduct any criminal activity over the phone. so there's no point.
but if your'e doing something illegal, get one for sure.

I have a burner phone I use with fake business cards with a fake name and Google account. I bring it when I travel that way if it gets stolen I can enable the tracking feature and watch as the dumbass that took it gets tracked with it. There's no removable battery and turning it off doesn't disable the tracking.
I use fake credentials for fun because at CES it's really easy to get expos to reveal their secrets more readily when you say you're an investor and have cards/email/etc to back it up. Last year at CES I got a Kickstarter to take me back to their truck (sounds gay) and show me a prototype drone they were working on. It was terrible but I actually put them in touch with a buddy of mine who hopped on their team doing legal work
tldr yes

Devilish
I have two burners but mainly because i talk to people online and don't want to get doxxed. By burner I mean voip numbers that I have connected to a shitty boost phone I bought off craigslist.
I've got an IMEI changer phone and a tether only phone.
They handle pretty much anything I could want to handle.
