Data analysis, most of the time I don't really need the computer I have (it's kind of old now anyway) but occasionally on large data sets and some chunky algorithms things slow down a bit.
Dual screen however is a godsend.

I upscale animu and upload it to public trackers.

I need better hardware and I need to reboot my machine but I don't want to cancel the current encode and I can't power it back on remotely.

I was fucking with the OC and accidentally bumped it too high and crashed a 84 hour encode (12 hours in) and now my GPU is running at half the speed it should be. I'm an idiot.
