Holy shit, I can fully relate. It always hurts to see my oled display not getting used to its fullest and instead gets raped by a dark greyisch night mode.

Very true. I much prefer the pure black background that spaRSS uses.

because fully black mode looks hideous 100% of the time
there should be a third option to enable that though, most of /g/ doesn't even care if something looks good

Dark gray usually looks good and doesn't hurt your eyes.

Define poor battery life. I get like 7 or 8 hours SoT and the only app with dark background is Twitter (which I barely even touch). And I play 3d games from time to time too
