It's not hard at all, just check out the source from github (or install linux-source package and untar the thing), go to catalogue and run make oldconfig; make modules; make bzImage; make modules_install and make install. If you're using proprietary drivers, like nvidia, you might have to rebuild them if they're not using DKMS.
