It allegedly OCs much better and more consistently than skykek.
Intel doesn't drop prices on old CPUs, so it doesn't really make any sense to get an 6700k now.
It's 100% useless as an upgrade over skykek or haslel, but it's still something of an improvement (except for the locked models, these are just "innovations").
