SSD that your OS is not installed on.

Assuming you're too poor to install 16 GB or more RAM to begin with.

Having a page file on every physical drive - about 1GB in size, so static and not subject to alteration - is the best performing solution you'll find.

And do NOT remove a page file from an SSD - no company would ever recommend you do that, not Microsoft, not any SSD manufacturer, and so on. It's bad advice from stupid idiots that don't understand anything about how modern computer operating systems work and favored by those idiots who right those ridiculous optimization guides you find all over the place.

Those kinds of guides might have offered some help a decade ago but today's machines and modern operating systems already perform about as well as possible by default. Tweaking is a dead science anymore and has been for many years now.

If you don't want to buy RAM, just torrent it, /v/irgin.
