SSDs are great, specifically on Winshit machines

On my Debian boxes, I don't really care that much though, at least on the ones I keep turned on all the time, they work pretty damn fast after booting up (which does take a lot more time than it would with a SSD) due to caching to RAM, so they work just fine and are fast because they don't get turned off often except when power goes out or some other reason

OP here, I'm talking about when you get up to terabytes of storage. 1 terabyte samsung 850 SSD is 330 dollars compared to a 50 dollar WD hard drive, and you can get a seagate drive for even less.
