Can't bring myself to upgrade since the opo still runs well and I've taken care of it.

The only way I'd probably upgrade at this point is if I broke it, but even then I haven't had my cell service turned on in a year (switched to a home phone, way cheaper and less hassle).

The phone is just a portable wifi device for me anyway so I don't really care.

Well I don't use a pin anymore but I used to have lolipop, which made the buttons really small. Combined with my fat thumbs, I either mistyped or had to type slowly.

I've got a Galaxy S5 used extensively for 2 years almost, a charge every day usually (70-80%) and it has dropped maybe 1h of SOT compared to what it was like when brand new.

Had an S1 whose battery lasted well over 4 years of extensive years before I had to replace it since it wouldn't hold for more than a few hours of standby at that point, but it had swollen up a bit too.

I'm already on stock 3.5.5. I don't have any issues with VoLTE. I generally like the new update except for the new pitch dark theme and lighter accent colours, and losing the ability to long press the battery icon on the status bar to go straight into the battery usage settings. Too bad the screen cracked by just being in my front pocket and the digitizer stopped working (I never dropped it). Got that replaced and the new screen is shit: maximum brightness pales in comparison to the original panel, totally useless under sunlight; it's noticeably more blue; there are small dark splotches on the center and light leaking on the corners. HTC One M8
Probably a couple years?
Aluminum body is fucking amazing
Radio is fucking up and the jews at XDA want to charge $25 for a program that gives s-off so I can flash an older firmware for the radios that may not even solve the problem

Its good for just basic media consumption, no fancy games or anything (like all mobile vr platforms anyways). Tracking is fine, don't see ghosting or latency issues with the display. Resolution is a lot better than 1440p, I could see pixels on the S7 gear VR, while on this, they're hard to spot. I'd say the only liability of it is that it's kinda hard to hard 4K vr videos.

I'd say wait until a newer model is released, mobile vr has a lot of space to grow.

Overall its the best phone I've ever had and miui with nova launcher looks pretty good.
