What are some Paint.NET alternatives for Linux? I've tried GIMP, but it feels too autistic, and Pinta. Pinta mostly looks good, but I can't fucking find how to resize selection in it, and that's just ridiculous.

I'd recommend just going balls deep into GIMP. It is different from Paint.NET, but has a good payoff as you start to master it.
You're not going to find a near perfect paint.net clone, although yeah Pinta blows.

Pinta is shaping up to be a decent Paint.net clone, but for now Krita is the best image editing software for Linux imo

Did you try it in multi window mode?

mono ./Paint.net

If you want autistic, there's always Inkscape
Pinta's buggy shit, don't bother.

Depending on what you do, either krita or inkscape

Krita
