Best laptop for under £350?
Preferably SSD instead of HDD.
15.6" screen

A used T430 with a T420 keyboard and an SSD.
This one's better!

Used Thinkpad, add an SSD.

Depends entirely on what you intend to use it for, but I suggest you stay far away from a non-s 14" Thinkpad. T430s is fine as it is a thin and light machine, but T430 is useless as it weighs nearly as much as a T530 with no advantage over the latter.

Nobody cares, you fucking autist.

It's pretty much just for everyday use.
Would like speed+reliability.

Everyday use can mean a lot of things.
Do you want to play games ?
Or is "everyday use" to you just browsing the internet and watching a movie here and there ?
Programming ?
You have to be more specific than "everyday use." Fucking everything could be something you do everyday.

Everyday use is just browsing the internet and watching a movie here and there.
No gaming
No programming
It's not for me, it's for my parents who are in their 60s.

Okay.
Then I highly recommend a used Thinkpad with an SSD, these are reliable machines with fairly good specs. Toss an SSD in there and you have a machine comparable to modern machines that easily cost at least 100 GBP more.
If they have bad eyesight, they might appreciate one with a 1366x768 screen due to lower PPI than 1600x900 and 1920x1080 models.
Your parents probably don't care much about keyboard layout, but maybe they'll appreciate a backlit one.
Recommended models:
T520 - No backlight, but has Thinklight. It's a little LED that shines on the keyboard, works very well.
T530 - Can have a backlit keyboard, but it isn't a default on all models. Pick one carefully.
Plenty of companies refurbish these and sell them for reasonable prices, have a look around on ebay.

How about this?

It's a computer. It can be converted into a tablet form factor. It's lower specced than a lower priced *20 or *30 series Thinkpad on ebay.
You completely ignored my post, but it's your money and it'll do computer things with tiny ass fonts.

I didn't ignore your post. I looked at the ones you mentioned but am apprehensive of buying a used laptop off of ebay.

That's too bad.
