When did you realize that mathematicians are the best programmers in the world?
What did he mean by this?

you couldn't make it more obvious that you're unemployed

Haha java programmer

Java, Haskell, Ada, Perl6
>design by committee
>shit
Then why does everyone use either C# or Java for anything anyone pays money for?
FYI, a good team can produce literate code in either, it's not a piece of shit you are.

Because they're convenient and heavily advertised. But they have terrible performance and having tons of software depending on them is insane and inefficient.
>>58224469
The only things with better performance are fully compiled, with half way exceptions like Go or whatever. Haskell is compiled and faster than C++ for certain things, but I'd rather not hire a math PhD to maintain my database. How is it inefficient?
C#/Java style everywhere, even in our JavaScript, it's the lingua franca programming and already has a functional dialect, F#.

What programming language is NOT designed by committee? Ruby?
>>58224552
Perl when it first appeared, C, Python, Ruby etc.
Haskell was designed by a committee for 3 years before appearing.
>>58223929
Ada may not be popular, but it's straightforward. You're rarely asking yourself why the fuck it's doing something insane, because it doesn't do any crazy shit.
The one time I had to use it in school, it was surprisingly pleasant.
>>58225140
Haskellfags just get upset about Ada because it has all of the provable safety stuff that they claim can only exist in functional languages (even though no functional language has ever implemented it), and it's extremely readable so they can't write esoteric programs so they can't make claims that you're not intelligent enough to understand the language's greatness

codemonkey spotted
Reminder that Haskell is a toy language for NEETs, not used in the real world besides few limited use cases.
If you want a job at some point, learn something useful instead.

Nobody use a non-committee version of these anymore.
