Lenovo gaming laptop, all good reviews, 777€. 960m graphics, mobile i5, 256gb ssd.
Should I? I want a light gaming device that wont steal my time, and can run multimedia on my av
Bump
No. Gaming laptops are a meme. That 960m is going to be pretty much useless for running new games 1-2 years from now.

>Owning a laptop for longer than a year.
Someone I know plays Witcher III smoothly on high with 960m

I prefer retard tier online fps, or old games like Icewind Dale that still have heart.

I fell for the gaming laptop meme and belie me you don't want to do it. I spent over $2k on one a around 4 years ago. Two of the latest NVIDIA mobile GPUs with SLI, latest processor, 17" matte screen, illuminated keyboard, 3 fans, all that shit. Guess what? Today it's fucking useless. Here's how a typical session goes:
>Boot up. Fans start immediately and for some reason are super fucking loud from the get-go.
>Launch Dota2. Somehow having trouble maintaining 60 fps on lowish settings. Fans getting even louder to the point that I can hear them through my gaming headset.
>Launch Deus Ex Mankind Divided. Game stutters like crazy and can barely get 20 fps on low. Fans are so loud now it feels like I'm in a wind tunnel.
>Computer overheats and shuts off.
>Unplug computer, figure I'll just go to other room to watch a movie or something on it.
>Turn it back on. Battery life lasts 2 minutes then it's dead. Meanwhile fans are still super loud.
I will never, ever buy a meme gaming laptop again. I got an ASUS zenbook for work/travel and it's super light and 100% silent with great performance. IF you want to game, buy a fucking desktop like a normal person.
