it isn't that linux is hard to use, its that there is no reason to do all the bullshit yourself? what is the point of manually adding drivers, editing the xconf, installing your own DE when you can just install ubuntu and be done? /g/ is really stupid when they tell new users to go and install arch or something

if you are coming from windows, then that will provide the best experience for you anyways.
and it gets easier, once you realize that everything you knew on windows has a free alternative on ubuntu that is just as good. the only thing that sucks is gimp because i can't be assed to learn the controls all over again
