Complete tech amateur here.
I'm going to install ubuntu on my ASUS transformer soon and had an idea.
Clover is completely open source, right? So could I just port it over to ubuntu for my transformer? It's touch screen so I think it'll work pretty well.
Will there be compatibility issues? Can someone point me in the right General direction to getting started?
Do I need to know programming?
I did exactly that, confirmed working if you use gentoo instead of Ubuntu

I'm not installing gentoo.
Try running it with something like this instead.

You were right about one thing: you are an amateur.
Porting an application requires a lot of work and oftentimes is completely impractical.
You would be better off emulating Android and running it on that or finding some other emulator type thing.

Not going to lie anon, it'll make it much more difficult to get help if I did.

Thanks anon. I'll give that a try.
And yeah, I know I sounded stupid, but I had no idea what I was talking about

You still don't know what you're talking about. Just nut up and liveboot. It's not hard. You can install or nah then.

Install xubuntu. Literally Ubuntu except with a better de. Unity is garbage.

This is why linux is failing as a desktop OS.
