Truth is a lot of linux admins are also unix admins.
That being said, I am a systems analyst, I started in desktop support, then got into systems administration in a mixed environment. The linux servers needed much less attention than the windows ones and as such my linux is just ok.
It's actually easier to learn linux administration because you can easily get everything you need for free. Make sure to learn vsphere and other hypervisors

>SELinux
There's literally nothing wrong with SELinux unless you are mentally deficient.

kvm, docker, vmware, xen server, hyper-v
Gotta at least be familiar with them.
>got my rhce four years, going on five years ago

>got a job working at a warehouse making now $15 dollar doos an hour. Full time plus benefits
Best advice op make sure where ever you are located actually has a demand. Mine wasn't and had like fifty people applying to the same position.
Now I've gone so long my cert is worthless. Not only do I think it actually expired but rhce has changed quite a bit. Such as the adoption of systemd.
Now I just keep Linux and computers in general as my favorite hobby and just work at a warehouse Mon - Fri sorting and packing packages. Forty hours a week, never have to worry about overtime nor being on call. And I never work weekends.
