take that with the continuous driver updates that have the 480 equal to a 1060 in dx11 and above it in dx12/vulcan

Then for the kicker, the 480 4gb isnt a cut down part, just less ram, so its a base cost of 200$ against a 1060 at 240 for the cheapest and 250 for the first good brand.

you can argue that a 1060 3gb would be a better match up but that's against a 470 for 170 vs 1060 3gb for 190.

bang for buck right now would be a 470, a slightly cut down 480

followed by a 480 8gb if you really want the 8gb of ram

followed by a 1080 if you need 4k or 1440 144

a titan is so far out of the reasonable price range is is not significantly better then a 1080 so its not justifiable.

amd 480 for budget, or 470 if you want to go lower

if you want to go high, then the 1070 or one of those amd fury's that are always on sale
