I got a X1 Yoga for $300 brand new with shear luck. Going to erase Windows 10 and install Chrome OS since all I use this for is shit posting and videos.
Is there anything wrong with using Chrome OS as an everyday OS? Its been a while since I messed around with it.

Yes yes its a waste of hardware but the boot times will hopefully be amazing. Slightly less spying than Windows 10 too.

would you even have the drivers for your hardware? i suggest installing a minimal linux os or chromium os

Im installing in about two minutes while the USB installer is created. There's a better chance of Chrome OS having drivers out of the box over Chromium. Its more an experiment than anything.
I've messed around with plenty of distros before and no matter what always have something break eventually. From the last Chromebook I had, updates are snappy and the minimalism caused absolutely no problems. Only issue back then was finding alternatives for some programs but that shouldn't be an issue with this machine.

post how it goes

How exactly are you "installing" chrome OS? Last time I looked for it I couldn't find it.

Interested in this for my yoga as a second OS as I simply don't make use of the tablet features in Linux. You can run Android apps right?

Put Windows 10 back because it's good with this sort of form factor, or install Ubuntu.
