Post in this thread if your laptop is more responsive than your desktop PC because you have to run Windows 7 on the desktop with a bunch of bullshit while you have a sleek and minimal install of Xubuntu or LXDE or something like that running on it and it's probably a Thinkpad from 2010 so it's especially stupid that things have turned out this way

My main thinkpad runs windows 8 and my dev thinkpad runs debian gnu/linux.

I also installed an SSD on the linux machine, it's super quick and lightweight.
I really don't like using the windows machine now, but I have my music projects on it.

i put linux on my desktop but am probably going to reinstall Windows 7 back onto it so I can pirate Amplitube again, then it will be my botnet practice amp
