Are coding bootcamps scams? Or could you actually use the experience you get from them to get a decent job
A bootcamp my friend is looking at claims they can get him a job anywhere in the world and someone who went through the program just got his first job in Germany

Just read a fucking book.
Tldr

Yes, they're scams. Just people trying to capitalize on "coding apps is cool!"

I think they are all shit.

Look at the average salary of graduates for that boot camp. Some camps guarantee a job in 6 months or your money back.

they're as much as a scam as kung-fu bootcamps.

Yes of course they're scams.
If you want to ever tell if something is a scam, just look at the claim it's making then ask yourself "If it's that easy, why isn't everyone doing it?"
In the case of the bootcamps, they make outrages claims about how hire-able you will be after just a month or two of learning Javascript or some other Pajeet language, and on top of that, they usually have the audacity to claim that you're gonna make loads of dosh once you get that job.
If it only took a few months of learning a language to get a high salary job in the tech sector, no one would bother going to university.
