You know, you could just run it.

>join
why? i've been using arch for like 6 years, and wouldn't join those elitist bastards
also the forums are open, and your questions already have been questioned. just use google
>>58087298
Average hacked archfag
>>58087320
they haven't. i'm having problems with my network card is associated and dhcpcd pulls a lease but i can't ping shit. i have the proper kernel drivers and even did a syslog tail. nothing. im at the point where im just gonna bin this laptop.
>>58087360
Don't bin the laptop, these things are only a problem on tech support simulators like arch. Which is why only idiots install arch and expect a functioning system. If they wanted something that easily worked they would install something else. When you solve this problem then the Russian roulette that is arch would break randomly on something else very soon anyway because that is what tech support simulators do.
>>58087491
but it makes no sense why it would break anyway. it's a goddamn network card saying it connects, but can't transmit data. how?
>>58087360
is icmp filtered on your network? try using telnet to test connectivity
>>58087651
im not sure. the battery is dead and my heater has taken up the plug space. i will let you know tomorrow if you're willing to let me make this thread again.
>can't run a command
>installs arch

>>58087329
>date command will hack me
Dumb wintoddler
>>58089622
Macfags could argue with that :^)
>>58087360
just install Open BSD.
It handles all this shit automatically during the install, and tells you if you can't (often that means just installing a non-free driver)
Arch literally takes twice as many steps to setup and is still bloated in comparison.
