It depends on how big her basement is. If you can clear at least 5 x 5 feet you should get a Vive. Otherwise, Oculus will be fine.

I love the vive, even in an area only about 5x5. I havent tried the touch controllers, so I guess I can't really compare, but I would put my vote for the vive
