Spoke to someone from AMD at gamescom this year, even the reps don't get told release dates or even rough ideas until days before public. He did however say "The 490 was planned to be released with zen". If you take that literally, then we're looking within the next 3 months.

Its all speculation.
Vega was on roadmap in 2017 which will probably mean Q3/Q4. 490 would only make sense if it came out Q1 if at all. Nvidia has no incentive to release 1080Ti before any of this happens since they need to have a product up their sleeve to counter Vega release.
