I don't lurk this board, so I'm sorry if I'm not familiar with shit.
I figured if any board could help me it'd be /g/.
Basically, a friend of mine has a season pass for a local mountain resort. The season pass info is on an RFID card,And you just scan it on the lift gate and it let's you get on the ski lift. Is there any way I could skim the code from it and put it on another RFID card? I really don't really have $700 to drop on a season pass, so I'd rather be a Jew about the situation. What kind of software/hardware should I purchase to make this work?
I thank anyone who helps me with this.
>>
Just to add, I already asked them if I could do it. And they're cool with it. So I wouldn't be "stealing" their card info.

Most hotels should have both reading and writing equipment for cards. Consider where they get it, and if it costs less than $700 to get for yourself.
>>
If you have a non-shit phone you can download some NFC app and see if you can scan the card to see its info. If it's not encrypted you can write that info on another card using an NFC writer (some phones can do this)

If your scan returns nothing but jibberish then the card info is encrypted and you're shit out of luck.

Copying is stealing. Clean and simple. Don't copy that floppy (card).

Can you expand on this, im no nigger like op but i would love to have a backup of my bus card on my phone because i forget it occassionally

replay attacks wth the encrypted value might be an attempt

unless the encrpyted text holds unique values tied to the card itself so copying the enctypted value is not enough
>>

Why dont you just ask your friend to borrow his card while he is not using it?

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
