Okay, niggas, it has been too long.
I know there are people here who are tired of flat design.
I think it's about to unite and say what is bad about such design.
Apologists are not welcome.

>about to
about time to
I don't mind flat design. As long as it looks nice and works properly.
>>58003591
Eh i like Google's approach of Material Design.
the flat clusterfuck abortion that microsoft made with powerpoint is fucking disgusting though
Microshit's flat design is good even though Windows 8 was an abomination.

Spoken like a true Linux user
Nobody will ever your that trash of yours, it looks like shit, it works like shit, and the reason behind that is all you self-titled "programmers" lack even basic ability to design anything ranging from general system architecture to GUI
So go ahead, complain some more about flat design or whatever normal people deem acceptable, then go tinker with your hobbyist OS

I don't really like it either, I am more of a fan of the style that Mac OS is now. It's not exactly flat but its still minimal
>>58003591
>I like glossy shadows gimmicks
>>58003591
It looks like shit, for one
It usually makes it difficult to determine what's what on the screen
>>58003876
No one said or implied that

>I adhere to the "less is less" philosophy
Why is it always so bloated? Every single website with flat design i have visited some years ago must have like twenty million lines of javascript, and many sites that move to that trend remove a lot of convenient links to useful parts of a site, requiring more clicks for navigation, or in the worst situation, if the link is removed completely from the interface, and you lose the URL or there's no sitemap you can only wave goodbye to that part of the site.
And i wouldn't mind it so much if it only affected normie sites like Youtube or Facebook, there's also the "we made our site about PC software easier to navigate on mobile :DDDD" shit.

>how to spot a triggered flatfag even if no one names skeuomorphism

>Why is it always so bloated?
you just need to upgrade from your cum encrusted neetpad to something that can actually handle a modern web browser
>>58004251
Great ad hominem famiglia
Proof that flat design apologists can't read
>>58003717
The problem is it is pushed for huge screens.
I had no problem with Metro as it was for WP. It's just WP went to shit.
>>58003757
Nothing you said was untrue, but I have no idea why any of that should make you angry
>>58003757
I have the "La Capitain" icon theme on Mint, looks pretty cool desu senpai
>>58003896
This.
>>58003717
It's pretty but I know it's ugly on the inside
any design after the 2000s fucking sucks
this looks fucking fantastic
especially how things got later, Winamp looked fucking amazing pre-bento
firefox used to look really good
XP was a fantastic looking OS even though its colors were a bit off
what things are missing these days is gradient, texture, depth, ect. Everything is flat shapes and colors and it doesn't look good at all
Windows Vista was the start of everything looking like shit
>>58007233
Windows 2000 icon pack looked much better desu.
