My Note4 works fine but as soon as the battery level drops below 55% or something, DANGER MODE starts and at any given moment the battery can suddenly drop to 4% and if I don't find a charger it'll die pretty quick.
If I do heavy lifting like live stream, it can do the mega-drop at around 80%!

Is this a common problem?
Will the problem fix itself if I buy a new battery or do I have to change my charging port?

I don't own a zuk phone, but a workmate actually has the white and gold z2 pro. It's a pretty sweet phone imo. Still happy with my LG G3, but maybe next year might look at zuk z3 pro if they keep this up. Otherwise will probably just grab Samsung s8 edge.

Well, it's too late now. Couldn't use qfil to flash stock rom, it failed at 99% or something with firehose error but I managed to put twrp on internal storage. Wasn't possible to boot in recovery mode but adb was working so I did adb shell then since twrp could be run in command line mode I was able to enable sideload and now I'm going to see if flashing cm is possible. If not, I guess I'll have to go and see Pajeet...

I bought an axon 7 new for $320 on eBay. Was very very unhappy with it. The speakers weren't any louder or clearer than my other phone (oneplus one), the camera performed poorly in 95% of situations I put it in (mostly interested in HD video, slow motion video, and lower light stills). The software was so unbearable, so i put cm13 unofficial release for a2017. It was less buggy and more bearable in general but the speakers distorted on anything above half volume. This was my first phone with a fingerprint sensor so I have noting to compare, but it seemed fine. Also, bootloader unlocked warning message expended boot by 10+seconds, making it very slow. I wouldn't recommend it. Op3t instead for me, would recommend op3 regular for anyone on that budget.

320x480 was the lowest available scren res back in 2010's budget Android phones IIRC so I'm not sure many apps support that DPI nowadays, and with 4GB internal memory + 1GB of RAM you're barely going to install a couple of things before runing out of storage due to internal apps' updates.

Motorola's stock rom is really fucking good; lightweight, debloated, fast and almost completely (a single "Moto" app installed for gestures) free of branded apps, I'd say it's even more stock than the rom you'd get on a nexus/pixel phone, hell, the stock rom is so lightweight that it comes completely devoid out of any apps whatsoever sans for the standard google package, the aforementioned moto app, radio, sim settings and the required settings/download/clock/camera android apps, the phone lacks a stock gallery, file manager, notepad and web browser, many would see this as bad, however for me it only means that after disabling every single cancerous google app I can immediately get to making the phone completely mine.

Custom roms are mandatory on chinkphones because of the bloat, take MIUI for example, 1.5 GB of ram idle and closes apps not used for more than twenty minutes, or the shilled succ which does the same but also with basic apps like the clock unless you go to battery settings and give them permission to run in the background forever.

The only reason you'd put a custom rom on the G4 would be because you can't wait a week more for official nougat update and enabling the hidden led for notifications.

So, I'm a poor college fag and am looking for a phone with a decent camera, good display, and call quality.

i got a s7e about 2 months ago after having the same samsung phone since 2009.

today, the s7e got really warm/borderline hot, and crashed/turned itself off. i had to press the power button and volume down button for about 10 seconds before it booted up. after it booted up it was really sluggish until it cooled down. the battery was drained down to 79% only about 12 hours after being fully charged. normally i only use 15% of battery per 24 hours.

If you're interested in jailbreaking your best bet right now would probably be to make sure your device is running iOS 10.1.1 and hope it pulls through.

If you're all ready jailbroken on iOS 9.3.x then you could update if you're a gambling man, I know some exploits have been patched in the update from 9 to 10 so it would protect you from those. However, apparently there's jailbreak tweak patches for those vulnerabilities so it's more a matter of wanting to be on a later version of iOS which usually comes with benefits.

The X compact is going for even less than the Z5C (300 vs ~370) you might want to consider that because it has a shot at nougat and custom rom+sony=ass camera so no unofficial nougat for the Z5C.

my english teacher is looking for a new phone. she´s currently using a Nexus 4 and says it keeps crashing (besides it being rather old now)

I asked her about her needs and she said:

I'd go for the htc 10 if you are okay with the size of the phone. It's a great allrounder which may not stand out with superspecial features but I think you'll be pretty much satisfied with what you get

What is the thinkpad of phones?

Is there any way to install SuperSU manually over adb shell with a pre-existing root?

I have a year old (manufactured) shitty burner phone, android 5.1.1, qualcomm, rooted with obnoxious KINGORoot which doesn't want to let go.
There's no custom recoveries for it nor any other root methods. Even then the stock recovery is useless (reboot, wipe data/cache, view logs) with seemingly no fastboot/extras.

I thought I could be smart by dropping SuperSU's su into /system/bin as su2. Mounted as r/w, put it in there, chmod'd to hell and back and it does nothing.

I'd like a long-term root but not with KINGO.

tldr: burner qualcomm 5.1.1, have kingo root, want to switch to supersu, no custom recovery, can adb shell -> su (with kingo?)

Get the SuperSU app, if you already have root access, it can install itself, then you can get rid of KingRoot.

The SuperSU app fails to update the su, and if it requires the prompt from Kingo it ain't popping up

Ultra aggressive task freezing/killing (similar to greenify). Useful back when chinkphones were extremely lacking in the RAM department, still kind of useful with their unofficial app stores full of malware and hacked APKs to minimize damage. Downside is that you won't get most notifications from stuff that's not 100% of the time online (like IM and such) unless you give it explicit permissions to do so in the security center.

bq is a Spanish OEM. Chink sourced stuff but designed and officially distributed in Europe, with a proper warranty and Google Services. Their Snapdragon models tend to get official Cyanogen too, but they use stock Android + a couple of bq apps, so no bloat OOTB.
