I understand the reasoning behind this. Battery life indicators are never accurate, as a computer's activity can instantly change the remaining time from 3 hours to 1 hour. Apple probably got complaints over the estimated remaining time not corresponding with real battery life. Percentages are at lest constant.

It was inaccurate unless you kept doing the same task, and it is still available in Activity Monitor.

But don't let me interrupt the circlejerk.

Anon, I bought a 2005 iBook G4 about 6 weeks ago. When I have charged it. It tells me I have 4 to 4 1/2 hours on the Battery. I can run video for 3 hours and have 1 to 1:30 Battery Life left.

I'm content about it. I have no idea to the age or use on the Battery.

Because it's fucking worthless. It would jump from saying you had 7 hours left to saying you had 3, and then when you had like 9% battery life it'd say 30 minutes, but shut off 5 minutes later.
Would not be surprised if there was a class action lawsuit and they just said "fuck it".
