Monthly Reminder that Firefox Developers still can't put down their bongs for one hour to make a gnome friendly version of their "browser" where the tabs/title bar are integrated
People have been complaining about this and Firefox devs have known about this since 2011
>before you blame Gnome, how come Chrome/ium can do it?
>any extension you try to recommend to fix this ruins functionality of non maximized window
Why would they bother with making a Gnome friendly browser when Gnome is the shittiest DE out there?
>>57967639
Maybe GNOME devs can push code to the Nightly Github repo?
>>57967639
Have you tried togglingbrowser.tabs.drawInTitlebar
>>57967657
maybe it is, but every DE based on Gnome like MATE, Cinnamon, Unity share this problem
>>57967639
Have you considered using a window manager that doesnt require you to point and click at shit like a toddler? No buttons, no problem. There are over 100 of them on your fucking keyboard. Use them.
>>57967639
>2016
>using a window manager that draws useless borders
>not going full tiling WM
i seriously can't believe you are doing this
>>57967639
>nearly 2017
>still not using superior gnome Web
>still using a browser where advertisements are enabled by default
You deserve your own fate desu
>>57967639
>Windows doesn't have this problem
>macOS doesn't have this problem
>several other DEs don't have this problem
Maybe it's you/Gnome that's the problem and not Firefox.
>>57967993
it didn't work, and yeah i restarted firefox
ty for trying to help though. i still prefer firefox but this annoys me so much
>>57968074

i want my PC to look and feel like windows 95 for the rest of time
>>57968105
don't know if this is joke post, only ever used Firefox, Chrome or Opera in this century. But fuck it I will give it a spin, if it's good I might use it
>>57968191
i knew this was coming and addressed it in OP
how come Chromium can make theirs work in literally the most common DE linux has?
gnome isn't just gnome, it's unity, mate, cinnamon and I'm pretty sure over half of the people using Linux are using gnome de or one of it's variants
>>57968195
Its just webkit with a nice gtk3 headerbar. Have been using it for a couple of months since ff50 broke the Gnome 3 FF theme. Very nice just missing a libreJS type thing (no extensions avalible)
But its practically guarantied not to be a botnet
Firefox is shit
Gnome is shit
It's only natural that both together would be incredibly shit

>>57967639
merging tabs and title bar is retarded minimalism mobile cancer that was not needed or wanted by anyone whose opinion matters

>>57969185
i want my tabs on top, never have more than 4 or 5 and it looks better
Don't bitch, there's no winning with KDE.
>>57967639
Fuck Gnome and what it wants.
>>57967639
Chome/ium can "do it" by overriding your system theme.
>>57967639
>using Gnome
There's your problem
>>57968925
Epiphany-browser
>>57967639

>Only if you want Chrome to use it's own window manager and not match the rest of the system.
Why would you want this?
>>57970825
in kde it looks fine for me, i use default breeze, if it doesn't fit well with your custom theme then you should probably not waste your time on gay useless themes
>>57970855
It's breeze dark, nothing fancy.
>>57970817
Holy fuck that looks ugly, please tell me it's at least very functional
