Telegram is portable garbage. It hasn't been audited to the extent that Pidgin OTR has and it's been absolutely thrashed into the shitter. Signal is better for mobile. Not sure about CryptoCat but I've been happy using Jitsi OTR and Pidgin OTR before (but no video chat, but Jitsi does require Java dependencies).
