Is any manufacturer currently making a sub 9" screen laptop?
I'm looking for something x86, linux capable, tiny, and has decent battery life (5+ hours). I was looking at the Asus t90 chi but I haven't seen any solid reviews on it yet.
what in the fuck kind of application is this useful for

could be pretty good for scripting and server administration, but if you want a sub 9" laptop, everyone already has one. It's called a fucking smartphone.
yeah why do you people always make threads about these stupid mini computers??

Jewbuntu runs on chink atom tablets afaik, though you might have issues with camera and BT.

I used to use one of those (a more expensive model) for work back when they were fairly new. It was great. I could write documents, schedule things, keep a digital phone book and transfer it onto my computer when I went back to the office. It even had a backlight.

put a screen on a rasperry pi

This. Why waste money on something that in all likelihood cannot be upgraded to some form of linux when you could make something for a fraction of the price?
